So, the first big news is that Zach has decided on a specialty for sure: Anesthesiology! I think it is a great choice for him and I can tell he absolutely loves it!
Second, he applied for his residency TODAY! Yeah, I'm serious. I still can't believe it. Where has all the time gone? Match Day will be here before we know it.
Zach ended up applying to 23 programs which are located all over the US. I will hopefully post a list later on. We still aren't sure where we want to end up-more on this later too.
The next step is that he will start getting calls for interviews, which will take place November-January. We are hoping to make a few mini trips out of them so I can't wait to find out where he gets interviews. Plus the fact that I just might be moving to these places. Crazy!

I am biting my fingers nails starting today until late March. If we have to leave, hopefully we get lucky and match at the same programs. Apparently, Craig and Zach applied to a lot of the same programs.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Dave told me today that I'm stressing him out about fellowship applications. A fellow last night told him to apply to 90 programs for GI. seriously?? If I end up in Anchorage, AIaska put me on suicide watch!
