Last week I made this pie. I had been planning to make it for about 2 weeks, it took me two days, it looks delicious, but it tastes crummy! It was such a disappointment. It is still in our fridge because I can barely stand to throw it away. Just want to show you that not everything turns out right :)
This little bouquet on the other hand was a success! All of the flowers are from my garden. I actually cut them all on a whim---the tornado sirens were roaring and I didn't want them to get destroyed so I figured I would just cut them instead. I love how it turned out. The lamp and frame in the background are new too! I got the decorating bug and went on a little shopping spree. I was bargain hunting and got some GREAT buys!
And this is the beautiful sunset we got to witness while driving home from Sioux Falls last night. It was just gorgeous! And, it kept changing over and over again and casting a beautiful light onto the corn and soybean fields. The great plains can be so pretty!
One last success: I ran SIX miles yesterday! That is the longest amount I have ever run! At points I didn't think I was going to make it, but ended up with a pretty decent time. The feelings of accomplishment provide such a high. After our run we went to breakfast with my parents and I devoured some delicious food---I split strawberry crepes AND eggs benedict with my dad. My plate was clean :)
We are just nine weeks to race day! You can still donate on our behalf to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society if you want---it is a wonderful cause!
Have a great week!
