Happy Birthday to my dear puppies! Ruby's 2nd birthday was June 1st and Riley's 4th birthday is coming up on July 1st. To not get too carried away as dog parents we decided to celebrate the two together since the dates are so close to each other. This year we got them one cake to share and no toys-rough life, huh? But then Zach forgot to pack any toys in their travel bag (we went to Zach's parent's house in Seward for the weekend) and they ended up getting a new toy anyway. We are such suckers. Their cake this year was carrot cake with peanut butter frosting (from Three Dog Bakery). Watching them try to clear the frosting out of their mouths was delightful. They loved it! Riley even licked up the whole patio so there wasn't much clean up. We were only planning on giving them half the cake, but they ended up eating the whole thing before we got the rest away from them. Oh well :)
