Peonies

Oh, how I love peonies. It just happens to be my good fortune that the rental house two doors up from us has a long row of about 8 bushes. I've never seen the people who live there go in the backyard, never. Three years ago when I first noticed the beautiful blossoms going unnoticed I asked permission before I took my fair share of blooms. This year I just took the liberty of going of there and taking as much as my little heart desired. It desired a lot! We ended up with two bouquets made out of about 25 stems each. So beautiful!

This is the bouquet that graced the dining room table. (After I got a little too crazy with photo editing.) The smell in our house was AMAZING! As soon as you walked through the door it just washed over you. If only peonies were in bloom all year....
